Each line has three points. The two ends sit on the edge of the photo, and the middle one moves freely. Drag the middle point and the line bends while its ends stay put. Drag an edge point and it slides along that edge, tilting the line.

Tap a line to show small ticks along it. Drag a tick to add a bend point, or tap any point to Delete it or make it Smooth. Edge points can't be deleted, and a line holds up to 8 points.

Choose Erase in the toolbar at the bottom and rub over the line where it crosses your subject. Tap Auto mask and the app finds the subject and clears the lines over it in one step.

To bring an erased line back, open Settings while in Erase, choose Restore and rub over the spot. Undo works too.

Auto mask works best when the subject stands clearly apart from the background. If it finds nothing, erase by hand with Erase and you get the same result. To remove a mask you applied, tap the same button, now labeled Clear auto mask.

Pinch to zoom in up to 8×, or double-tap to switch between 3× and the full view. In Settings, move the Brush slider to the left for a thinner brush.

Turn on Loupe to see what your finger is covering, and Erased areas to highlight what you have erased. While zoomed in, you can drag the edge of the photo well into the screen.

Open Settings while in Lines and you get the style chips, the Width and Opacity sliders and the color buttons. The styles are Solid, Dashed, Double and Glow, and whichever you tap is drawn on the canvas right away. The colors are White and Black, and when you open a photo the app measures the brightness of the background without the subject and picks the one that reads better.

Dashed, Double, Glow and any color beyond white and black are saved the way you set them with SnapLine Pro. Add line drops in a new line, alternating horizontal and vertical. Delete line removes the one you selected.

The Dashed, Double and Glow styles belong to SnapLine Pro. Anyone can try them on the canvas while editing, and without Pro they are saved as solid lines. A color beyond white and black is saved as the nearer of the two. Tap Save with this line style on the export screen to see what Pro adds.

Tap Reset in Settings and the app asks which of two you mean. Grid only puts the lines back at their starting position and keeps the areas you erased. As when opened undoes everything since you opened the photo. Undo brings back either one.

Export composes your photo at its original resolution and saves it as a JPEG at quality 95. The export screen shows the pixel size and the quality of the result.

Saved photos carry a small SnapLine mark in the bottom-right corner, a short bent hairline next to the word. Its color is measured from the photo underneath. SnapLine Pro saves without the mark.

When you close a photo or leave the app, your work stays on the home screen as a thumbnail. Tap it to keep editing without choosing the photo again, or press and hold and choose Delete.

SnapLine keeps a copy of the original photo with the project, so you can keep editing and export at full resolution even after deleting the original from Photos. Older projects drop off as new ones are saved.

If you switched devices or reinstalled the app, tap Restore Purchase on the purchase screen. To get there, open a photo, expand Settings while in Lines and tap the Pro badge next to Style. With the same Apple Account you won't be charged again.

Editing, Auto mask and saving all work offline. Only buying and restoring Pro need a connection to the App Store.
