Text files (txt and md), PDFs, and DRM-free ePubs, from the Files app or shared from other apps. You can also paste copied text, or share a web article from Safari. Password-protected PDFs open once you enter the password. Readride works best with running text such as novels, news, and essays. Tables and bullet lists are read as plain words, without their layout.

Readride can't open HWP files. Save the file as a PDF in Hancom Office, then add the PDF.

Readride can't read a PDF that has no text layer, because it has no text recognition (OCR). If only some pages are scans, it reads the rest, tells you on Get Ready which pages it skipped, and marks the spot in the text. PDFs that already went through OCR have a text layer and can be read.

It saves the place where you paused or closed as a character position in the tidied text, so changing the text size doesn't lose it. When you open the document again, it opens paused at that word, with the text around it.

Tidying, reading, the speed, pause, and text size settings, and sharing from Safari are free. Your shelf holds up to 3 documents, counting finished documents and web articles. The tour that comes with the app doesn't count. When the shelf is full, you can delete one to make room, or read a new document without adding it. Documents you've added can always be read.

On a new iPhone or after reinstalling, open Settings in Readride and tap Restore Purchases in the Readride Pro section. On the same Apple Account you won't be charged again. Members of your Family Sharing group can use Pro too. Refunds are handled by Apple, and if Pro is refunded, the documents you've added can still be read.

An iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, running iOS 26 or later, with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri. It isn't available while the on-device model is still downloading, or when the model doesn't support the language of the text. It works on Get Ready for PDFs and text files (not md). It runs on this iPhone and can be wrong, so its suggestions start turned off, and only the ones you turn on are taken out. The AI features row in Readride's Settings shows whether this iPhone can use it.

The one page you share (its address, title, and the HTML on screen) is placed in Readride's shared folder on this iPhone. When you open Readride, Get Ready pulls the article text from it. Once you add or cancel, the page is deleted from that folder. If another app shares only an address, Readride fetches that page from the site once, without your cookies or cache, so no login is sent. It doesn't go through any developer server.

There's no syncing between devices, so your documents are read on the iPhone you added them on. There's no iPad layout.
