On the start screen, tap Add photos, then choose from your photo library or take a new picture. While editing, tap Add in the Photos tab.

Each wallpaper holds up to 12 photos. The Heart layout appears once you have 6 or more.

Tap Save at the top of the editor. The wallpaper goes to the Photos app as a PNG at the resolution chosen in Settings. The first time, iOS asks whether Tapey may add photos.

If saving fails, allow photo access in Settings > Tapey.

Tapey shows one full-screen ad when you save a wallpaper. Google AdMob picks and serves that ad.

If the ad can't load, or your last save failed, Tapey saves right away without an ad.

Buy Remove ads from the menu or the start screen. After that, no ad appears when you save.

On a new device or after reinstalling, open Remove ads from the menu and tap Restore purchase. With the same Apple Account, you won't be charged again.

The first time you open the app, iOS asks whether Tapey may track you. The app works the same either way, and you can change your answer in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

Where ad consent is required, such as the European Economic Area, change your choices under Ad preferences at the bottom of the start screen.

Copies of the photos and background photos you pick, along with the layout and notes, are kept in the app's storage so you can pick up where you left off. Start over in the menu clears the current work, and deleting the app removes everything.

Tapping Make a new one after saving moves the current work to Recent. Recent keeps 3 projects and drops the oldest when a new one comes in.

Open the image you just saved in the Photos app, tap Share, then choose Use as Wallpaper. Pick Lock Screen and tap Set.

Tapey runs on iPad too. There it makes a square wallpaper that works in both portrait and landscape, and the editor lets you switch between the two views.

To make an iPhone wallpaper on your iPad, pick an iPhone size under Resolution in Settings.

Arranging, decorating, and saving work offline. Ads, buying Remove ads, and restoring the purchase need a connection.

The handwriting fonts for notes are installed with the app. One is used for Korean notes, another for notes in other languages.

Close the app completely, open it again, and check that you have the latest version from the App Store. If the problem continues, email us with the screen you were on and what you were doing.
